AMS Outstanding Early Career Award

AMS Outstanding Early Career Award: Seeking nominations

Dear Urban Climate Community,

On behalf of the AMS Board on the Built Environment, I am pleased to announce the call for nominations for the AMS Outstanding Early Career Award.

We seek nominations for individuals who are within ten years of receiving their highest degree or are under 40 years of age at the time of nomination, and who have demonstrated independent research excellence and a notable impact on the field of urban climate. Nominees should have made significant contributions to the field and be on a path to becoming a science leader in the community.

For your nominations to be considered, please submit a recent CV, a letter of nomination indicating contribution to urban climate research, and two letters of recommendation to Ariane Middel, Ariane.middel@asu.edu, by August 31.

Nominations are evaluated based on impact, independence, and excellence. We encourage submissions that reflect the diversity of our field in terms of discipline, geography, gender, and background. Please circulate this call widely and consider nominating a deserving candidate or self-nominating.

Best,
Ariane Middel
